Chichibu Railway
The Chichibu Railway is a railway that cuts across the northern part of Saitama Prefecture from East to West and totals 71.7 kilomaeters in length.In addition to electric railcars, a steam locomotive from bygone years runs on the tracks and passengers can take in the sights of rice paddies, the Arakawa River gorge and the Chichibu mountain range from the train windows.
How to ride
Purchasing Tickets
[1]Buy your ticket at a ticket vending machine.[2]Check the fare to your destination on the map of routes above the ticket vending machine.
[3]Check your fare, and then insert your money.
[4]Press the button for the fare to your destination.
[5]Ticket vending machines also have bottuns for buying multiple tickets and child fare tickets.
[6]Collect your ticket.
At the ticket gates
[1]After buying your ticket, proceed to the platform via the ticket gates.[2]Show your ticket to station staff at the ticket gates.
*Buy tickets for cash.
*You can not use IC cards( Suica, PASMO and more) and credit cards on Chichibu Railway Line.
*Do not bend or tear your ticket.
*Hold on to your ticket until you exit the station at your destination. If you lost your tickets, you will be charged again.

Chichibu Railway 1-Day pass
Unlimited rides available on Chichibu Railway Line.Chichibu and Nagatoro 1-Day Pass
A regular round-trip ticket from Yorii station to Nagatoro station, and unlimited rides between Nagatoro from Mitsumineguchi stations.Nagatoro 2-Days Pass
[A regular round-trip ticket from Yorii station to Higuchi station] or [A regular round-trip ticket from Ohanabatake station to Kaminagatoro station], and unlimited rides between Higuchi from Kaminagatoro stations.
*Adults(age 12 and over) / Children(age 6 to 11)
*Do not dend or tear your ticket.
*Hold on to your ticket until you exit the station at your destination. If you lost your ticket, you will be charged again.
*If you lost your ticket, it will not be reissued.

In the Nagatoro Hodosan Wintersweet Garden spread across the summit of Mt. Hodosan in Nagatoro, there are 2500 wintersweet trees dispersed over a 10,000 square meter slope.
